I liked it. Looked very family friendly. Terriyaki steak was cooked perfectly.

Food is fine - no problems there. The issue is that on a table of 6, 3 different paying tickets, they charged each of us 18% and the service was not good. We were almost completely done with the meal by the time the fried rice came out, had to ask multiple times for extra sauce we never received, and then the waitress got upset when I questioned her about an 18% gratuity on each tab... Almost a $30 tip?!?! Not worth it, buyers beware. I will not be back - thanks for being such a turn off Oyama.

Amazing place for delicious food

Everything you expect in a Hibachi and sushi place. Not stellar but not bad. Service is ok.

I ordered teriyaki to go and they give you soup, salad, rice and chicken in the meal. When I got home and opened the container of salad I had 1/4 a container of salad with a full cup of salad dressing! I understand its just salad, but thats sometimes my favorite part of the meal! I didnt pay $15 for a less than a handful of salad with my teriyaki!

Good sushi! Every roll i’ve tried has been yummy. Little spendy (if your are a college student) but food is worth it. BUT: If you go before 2:30 pm there are great lunch SPECIALS. You’ll be spending about 10 bucks after tax (without tip or drink). I got two rolls for 10 bucks. My favorite is the spicy tuna roll, it’s the best i’ve had at any sushi place. Chicken Katsu is also very yummy, sauce is on point and you get a bento for lunch for 10 bucks. Great value. I also noticed that if you want to come alone you can sit at the sushi bar and feel comfortable doing so.

Super friendly service. We stopped in for sake. Even though it was almost closing time everyone was friendly and helpful. Our server gave us some great suggestions and even told us of some more sake flavors to try that they don't carry. We will definitely have to go back to try the hibachi and some more sake flavors.

Friendly service, standard price for sushi. I had the fantastic role and it was pretty decent. Looking forward to trying some of their other offerings in the future. The establishment seemed clean and modern, and also had two hibachi grills. Worth a visit in my opinion.

Great Japanese Sushi, all kinds of rolls, and deserts. The environment is very spacious for family dinning, friends and etc. Affordable price for the course or meal.

Nothing was especially bad exactly. I had the fillet mignon and salmon. The fillet mignon was cooked about medium when I had asked for medium rare. The salmon did not taste fresh and was also slightly overcooked. The vegetables and rice were nothing special.I also tried the unagi sushi inadvertently because the waitress somehow I thought I had ordered it. This was actually very good. So perhaps the lesson is, when in a Japanese restaurant, order Japanese food.

It used to be better than it is now, roughly around the beginning of the year they had a very significant price hike. I'm talking like $3-4 dollars up on the majority of their items, and the old prices is what made this place okay for me. The sushi is a pretty big miss, however they have the corner on the market here as there isn't any other restaurants in Ellensburg with a wide variety of sushi. I can't come here anymore, after multiple times of my take out order being messed up, at times the sushi having a very off and old taste and then the two times eating in house that my boyfriend had found a hair in his fried rice I was out. The staff is friendly however they never ask you if you would like want anything to drink besides water which I find odd, but maybe that's just me. This is nothing like the kind of sushi you can get on the West side of the state nor did it expect it to be, but you can get better sushi at the same price range in Yakima.

Eh. Restaurant not busy, food was just ok, portions kind of skimpy. Won't go back soon. Waitress was personable.

Easilly the best Sushi you're going to find in Ellensburg and it's not the most expensive. it's a very good deal for lunch time.

Nasty. For twenty dollars I got a small bowl of bacon water miso soup with a slice of mushroom. Three bites of salad swimming in yellow soup dressing, a handful of over cooked chicken, slimy fried rice and frozen veg mix. Could have used fresh vegetables since it's so close to Yakima the produce capital of washington. My friend wouldn't even eat her plate of food. Cheers

I am not a sushi fan, I heard mixed reviews on the sushi. I got the hibachi, it was tasty. The scallops were slappin! I will say, it was a bit expensive for what I got though. Maybe drop the price a bit... We had a big group so we got charged with a gratuity fee, which sucked, but overall, the food was good.

This place came recommended from family on that side. We all 4 enjoyed our meals and my cousins baby, enjoyed the atmosphere, I think. I got veggie soup, yum. All the dishes looked good and the service was fantastic.

Didn't care for their fried rice, Sushi great also snow peas in garlic sauce. Need more wait staff. The one waitress was doing the best she could.

Best sushi I've had in a long time! Great staff! We were stranded in ellensburg for 3 days and ate here every night. Delicious and good prices.

Good food, good atmosphere. Not great. Oyama is a fairly average sushi restaurant, good for friends. The sushi was not outstanding. If you want sushi, go here, but don't expect greatness!

Best sushi in town! When they aren't too busy they draw on your plates with sauce. Very fun restaurant with a lively atmosphere. Quiet enough to hear the people you are with.

Sushi is awesome! Great for bigger groups or takeout. Staff is always nice and accommodating.

My favorite Japanese restaurant when visiting Ellensburg. There's a nice sushi bar and hibachi grill as well as the regular restaurant seating. I haven't been displeased here yet!

I've had better sashimi... however, I've also had worse. The smell of the hibachi grill smelled wonderful. Prices were very fair for what I recieved, and the cuts were just as I imagined. The best selection is minimal, but,ca few craft beers they carried were delicious, original, and very fairly priced

Rolls are ok but avoid udons and teriyaki.

My wife enjoys coming here as a special occasion. The food is always good, and the take-away comes pretty quickly, even when you order as a walk-in. The prices are a bit higher compared to some of the other Asian places in town, but the quality is much better. The sushi is legit, and the carp cheek appetizer is MJ's favorite.

On a drive back from the Tri-cities we were craving some sushi so we fired up Google and were offered precious few choices. This place was in Ellensburg right up the road from where we were so we gave it a try. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised to find this quality sushi so far from any salt water. I had a spicy tuna roll and Valerie had Teka Maki. We also had a house salad and miso soup. Service was great and we both ate for under 30 bucks.

This is my and my husband's go-to date place. Consistently good food, and nice/helpful/attentive staff. Also great with kiddos when we have our toddler with us.
